Elounda Island Villas was absolutely beautiful. We had a 3 story villa with a huge balcony overlooking the water, which was only steps away for a quick swim right in front of the hotel. Within walking distance is another great spot for swimming (not a sandy beach but crystal clear water).
The villa was fully equipped and we had many meals there becuase nobody wanted to leave the balcony with it’s spectacular view. The grounds and villas are very clean and well maintained, and the owner, Leda goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy and well taken care of. The fish taverna just steps down the road from the hotel was incredible – fish could not be any fresher.
Do not be afraid of the fact that there is no A/C – the location right on the water means there was always a nce breeze, and there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms if needed.
I would highly recommend Elounda Island Villas to everyone and cannot wait to return – it is indeed a very unique and special place.
